GAF is North America's Largest Roofing Manufacturer and now offering FREE & paid training to anyone interested in starting a career in the roofing industry This GAF Roofing Academy provides all students with an in-depth comprehensive residential hands-on roofing training. -The graduates of the program receive OSHA 10 a GAF Roofing Academy Certification -Completion of the program signals to roofing employers that the graduates have the proper entry-level skills for a roofing installation job. - 2nd Week of training will consist of a Habitat for Humanity community roof installation in Tacoma! Program Details: -This program will focus on teaching the basics of residential steep slope roofing. -The graduates of the class will have the knowledge and skills to enter into the roofing industry. -Graduates will receive a certificate of completion as a GAF Roofing Academy Certified Graduate. -Upon Completion, graduates will have the opportunity to interview with our certified contractors and employers in the area for full-time employment. Placement in a new roofing career is free to all Roofing Academy Graduates. -Transportation to and from training facility is the responsibility of the attendee, and all attendees must be able to lift 40lbs. -Graduates will be provided a set of basic roofing hand tools that is theirs to keep. -Light breakfast and lunch provided each day.
