Looking for a bass player for a new project heavily rooted in 1966–69 UK mod/psychedelic rock'n'roll, a la the Pretty Things, Creation, Tomorrow, Kaleidoscope, the Factory, the Kinks, the Yardbirds, etc.; US freaks i.e. the Stooges, MC5, Love, 13th Floor Elevators; as well as more melodic stuff like the Beatles and the Byrds and spacey stuff like Spacemen 3, Hawkwind, early Pink Floyd. Punk aggression mixed with subtlety and songwriting, from fuzz freakouts to gentler sounds... with an emphasis on strong, 3 minute songs rather than endless jams. Background/harmony vocals a big plus.
