Successfully competing in the coming national cannabis market Our panelists include economist Beau Whitney, Kim Lundin, Executive Director of the Oregon Cannabis Association (OCA), and other cannabis industry leaders and regulators to discuss federal legalization of the industry. The OCA has a whitepaper on the topic being released in July and they will be discussing their paper at this event as well. Beau Whitney, an economist, will lead in with 10-15 minutes of discussion on the economics of national legalization and how global markets will affect Oregon’s ability to compete in the broader cannabis space. He will also share proposed legislative changes regarding interstate commerce. This event is co-sponsored by the University Club of Portland and the Oregon Cannabis Association and is open to OAC members and guests and University Club members and guests. Ticket includes: admission to the event, one drink ticket per person, and a modest selection of appetizers.
