Practice your reading skills with therapy dog Harper. Grades 1 and up
Age range: Students entering Grades 1+ in Fall 2021
This program will be held outdoors.
We’ve got a new furry friend at the library! Harper is a certified therapy dog that loves to hear stories and is trained to work with children. Developing readers are invited to sign up for 15 minute sessions to practice their reading aloud, all while making a new animal friend. Great for anxious readers and those who rush through their reading.
This program is a partnership between the Pawling Library and Hudson Valley Paws for a Cause and the READ program.
This program is designed to be one-on-one, so please book multiple appointments to accommodate multiple siblings.
Please ONLY register for dates you plan to attend, as spaces are limited. Unvaccinated patrons over the age of two MUST wear a mask while attending in-person library events. This means children ages 3- 12 must be masked at events, even outdoors.
