Hope no one gets too irritated with me posting this here but I don't think other sections get much attention on here anymore, so apologies in advance.
I am new to the Gainesville area so I don't know where much is. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about a wooded area one could camp at and pretty much be left alone. I don't like the national parks, etc as they have a limit as to how many days you can stay. I like staying in an area for a month or two at a time...extended camping if you will. Somewhere with a water source preferably. It also doesn't have to be IN Gainesville, I am open to nearby areas within the state as well.
I do not cause trouble or trash the land and am a firm believer of leaving a place how I found it. I also do this alone so no one else would be a source of issue. I really hope someone can help!
