Basket Weaving w/Bonnie “Higher Love” is a versatile basket that would look lovely anywhere you choose to use it. Techniques include laying out a filled base using a D-Handle, start/stop weaving and the use of overlays. This basket is set up a little different – it has pairs of vertical spokes. The embellishment is made of a quality heavy metal made here in the USA. The accent colors are a variegated blend called “Mardi Gras”. The basket is made of reed. You will leave class with the basket unstained, but staining techniques will be discussed in class. Handouts will also be provided. This class is appropriate for any weaving level. No need to bring anything – just yourself. Tools are provided for use in the class. Allow 4 hours to complete the project.
