Lecture on Tak'alik Ab'aj presented by Guatemalan Archeologist Miguel Orrego Corzo on 7/8/2021 (Thursday) Mr. Orrego Corzo is a Guatemalan archaeologist who has worked on numerous significant projects over the last 55 years. including working at Tikal and most notably on the south coast of Guatemala. He is the current director of archaeological investigations at Tak'alik Ab'aj. The subjects covered in this lecture will include the origins of the archeological park, Tak'alik Ab'aj, Guatemala, the recent discoveries of Olmec/Mayan origins which date to 400 BCE and lastly current updates for the construction of the" El Characol" museum at Tak Alik Ab' aj. The event will be held on Thursday, July 8th, at 325 Newhall, San Francisco CA. at 4:00 pm. All COVID precaution will be enforced. This lecture will be presented in Spanish. Interpreters will be available to the Q and A session
