FourFathers Garden Jazz Happy Hour Presented by Live Wire Athens and Aubrey Entertainment UNDER 18 WITH PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN Four Fathers Thursdays in July will feature some soulful jazz in the relaxing comfort of the Live Wire Athens Courtyard Garden! If one were able to somehow distill the spirit of Jimmy Smith, George Benson, Grant Green, and Soullive into a secret sauce that was pressed onto vinyl and then blasted through a Leslie cabinet, it might sound a little something like Athens newest soul jazz supergroup "The Four Fathers." Its members have graced the stage with mainstays like Funk Brotherhood, Allgood, Liquid Dynamite, Squat, JazzChronic, Bernie Worrell, and the Hot Hotty Hots, and this diversity of experience is the catalyst behind the group's performing style. Comprised of local and regional scene veterans Dwayne Holloway, Jason Ogg, Chris Queen, and Justin Willis, the Four Fathers promise to treat the audience to an evening of music that offers both familiarity and novelty. Four Fathers Live Wire Athens’ roots began in the Music Industry. We strive to support music and many different facets of the arts. Our space is available for you to create your art and express yourself. As proponents to growing the local music scene, we use our resources to develop up-and-coming bands.
