One on One training with a Master Meisner Acting Instructor, Scott Trost, the Director of the Meisner Institute in Los Angeles. The Official Meisner Institute in Las Vegas Workshops |Two separate workshops ( Saturday / Sunday) split into morning and afternoon sessions. This event is for Actors who want to learn the Meisner Acting method. This event will be run by Scott Trost, the Master instructor with 25 years of experience traveling the world teaching the Meisner Method. Scott was trained by Sanford Meisner and is the Director of the Meisner Institute in Los Angeles. He will explain the principles of Acting and introduce the Meisner approach. “Meisner Acting Method in Vegas Workshop” is going to be held at Renowned Studio in the Arts Factory in DTLV on July 31 / August 1 (Saturday or Sunday) with limited 20 person availability! You only need to attend one day however you can do both if you’d like! Renowned Studio107 E. You don’t learn acting by listening to someone talk, you learn by doing… In the morning I will teach them a series of simple exercises that will teach them the basic principles of good acting - really doing, opening your heart, acting from your instincts, using the other person… In the afternoon we will use these principles to learn an improvisational way to rehearse for auditions and film/TV work… They will leave the class with a simple workout they can do to develop their acting muscles and an approach they can use to prepare for auditions and Film/TV work.” - Scott Trost, Director of The Meisner Institute in Los Angeles __________________________________________________ The Meisner Method actor training is arguably a standard when an Actor is seeking Agent representation. Sanford Meisner developed this training technique and became known as one of the premiere acting teachers in the business along with Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg. Sanford Meisner went on to train 37 Actors who received Oscar nominations. Scott Trost and the Institure carry on Sandy's legacy to this day. Scott has even trained alongside Academy Award winner, Sir Anthony Hopkins. This event is for models, dancers, and musicians that want to make the switch from the stage to acting on-camera as well as current actors who need certified training and can't travel or relocate to LA. Film Industry professionals and peers are also encouraged to attend to see first hand certified Hollywood caliber actor traing from a Master Intstructor. Las Vegas locals are welcome and strongly encouraged to attend. It is also recommended for attendees coming from out of town, who would be able to commute to Vegas for ongoing continued training following this first official event at a later time. We will be holding the event at the Renowned Studio located inside the Arts Factory building in Downtown Las Vegas NV.
