Please join members of the DC Metro fun hike and Social Club on Saturday July 10th 2021 8:30 AM for a hike on Billy Goat: Old Anglers inn108 Please join members of the DC Metro fun hike and Social Club on Saturday July 10th 2021 8:30 AM for a hike on Billy Goat: Old Anglers inn10801 MacArthur Boulevard, Potomac, MD 20854 - we'll hike some of the trails in the C&O Canal National : Historical Park. For those going on the Old Rag hike, this is a good opportunity to do some rock scrambling before the hike. Start time is: 8:30 am. Note!! According to the National Park Service, Billy Goat Trail A is by far the most technical and difficult section of the Billy Goat Trails with spectacular views of the Potomac River. The trails in the main park are easy-to-moderate, but Billy Goat A is rated difficult due to the rock scramble. Upper body strength is required to navigate the rocks. You MUST have recently completed a hike of similar distance and elevation gain at a moderate pace. Hiking has inherent risks. By agreeing to participate on this hike, you agree to accept responsibility for your own safety. EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY AT ALL TIMES! DOGS Dogs are NOT allowed on Billy Goat A or on the overlook trail to Great Falls. This is a National Park Service regulation.
