Do you love plants and animals? We are looking for a unique and trustworthy individual that has experience in nursery growing, propagation, horticulture, and care of farm/rescue animals. We operate a small nursery and grow organic fruits, vegetables, herbs and ornamental plants. The property is home to several animals (dogs, chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, miniature donkeys, and a horse) that we need assistance on occasion caring for. This position will likely start as part time since it is late in the season and could be a full time position by next year for the right person. Compensation will be based on experience but will range from $15-20 per hour. The position would involve, but would not be limited to: -Plant propagation, care, organizing, labeling -Irrigation installation and maintenance -Compost, soil and pasture management -General garden and property maintenance -Animal care: feeding, cleaning out coop/barns, and giving daily love and pets The ideal candidate will have a background in horticulture and/or agriculture, have experience with farm animals, have a strong work ethic, be organized, caring and trustworthy. Bonus if you have a permaculture or herbalism background and you can build stuff! Must speak English, have your own transportation and a good driving record, and be able to life a minimum of 50 lbs.
