Meet Vision Cellars Owner/Winemaker Mac McDonald, a leading voice for diversity in the wine industry. Plus, taste his highly-acclaimed reds. Back in the '90s, Mac was one of just a few Black American vintners in Cali when he launched Vision Cellars in Sonoma. In 2002, he founded the Association of African American Vintners (AAAV) to support Black vintners and professionals in the wine industry around the world. LeNell's 1st liquor store in Brooklyn, New York was chosen as New York's Small Business of the Year and was Global Retailer of the Year by Whisky Magazine. Her Red Hook Rye whiskey is now one of the most sought after unicorns for whiskey collectors. She has completed construction for her new location in the historic Norwood neighborhood of Birrmingham and is thrilled to be back home in Bama.
