Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 07/04/2021 211851042 Preliminary information:  On July 4, 2021 at around 3:02 p.m., officers were dispatched to 1041 Martin St SE on a person shot call.  Upon arrival, officers located a male alert, conscious and breathing with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.  He was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.  Preliminary investigation indicates there was a shootout at the location between multiple males.  It is unknown at this time if the gunshot victim was directly involved.  Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit were notified and will be working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.  The investigation continues.   Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
