Part time $16.51 hr with benefits in 90 days! Various shifts available! FedEx Express is hiring permanent part time Material Handlers to join our team at the FedEx Express Anchorage Hub. Apply here: Job Description: Provide safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ulds. Assist in the buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight and serve as liaison between company and uld repair vendor, as required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Clerical experience including typing and/or general office administration duties preferred. Good human relations and communication skills. Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. Experience dealing with the movement of heavyweight freight using forklifts, tugs and other loading/unloading equipment preferred. The ability to communicate both timely and effectively in a noisy operations environment is required. Since operating motorized conveyances is required in this job, employee must possess a valid driver's license. Qualifications: Must pass drug screen and background checks and fingerprinting Must be a U.S. resident for the last 5 years Must have Current Driver’s License or State ID and a US / US Territory - Birth Certificate (must be original or certified copy) or Unexpired US Passport / Certificate of Citizenship or Naturalization. For non-US Citizens, a Permanent Residence Card is required ** You must have both required forms of ID to work at this facility ** Must pass SIDA and AOA screening; Airport Badging required.
