I am here to warn you about the southern charm here in Wilmington. I know I'm going to get killed for this, but if your a transplant from anywhere else beware of being the nice guy when trying to get a band going. If you do you will meet up with the nasty hater who basically has nothing better to do but screw with your life. Most of em, female wanna be musicians. Don't fall for their bs. If it seems to good to be true it is. Steer clear of thinking the person your talking to is a dear friend that you never met. Some of the people who respond are narcissists. If your a laid back person, they don't treat you right. Ruining reputations is a popular thing in this town. Don't trust southern charm here. It's a lie. I'm a guy, and I should have worried about trying too hard to be kind. I should have just talked music and guy talk and thats it. Because the rest is bs and you will get burned by southern belle a holes. Other male musicians have warned me, don't be too nice. It's not going to make the search easier. Trust me. They are also not musicians, and either soccer moms who are too long in the tooth to be musicians anymore, or just passive aggressive haters, who are bored housewives with nothing better to do. Skip these wanna be musicians. Advice.
