Ragdoll cats are very very social! Their name comes from the fact that they go limp like a ragdoll when you pick them up. They are not aloof like other breeds. Most people love them because they are so friendly... and loving. They have long HAIR, not fur, however, they shed very little and need minimal grooming. I usually brush mine once a day a never have knots, clumps of hair, etc. They have a long life span and many of my kitten mommies come back for a companion kitten.
