I have a friend who came here from Cuba many years ago. His family owned a construction company and they were very successful. Fidel Castro and the Cuban Government took over my friend's family business..... They literally just walked in and took it !! My friend's Dad was told that he and his family could still work for the construction company as paid workers, but the government would own the company, receive all profits and make all future decisions. My friend's family escaped Cuba and landed in Florida and they eventually made it to California back in the early 1980's They went through the correct process of becoming American citizens. My friend's Dad eventually started up another construction business in the U. S. and it has done very well. After the father died several years ago, the company is still running today with my friend in charge and he plans to hand it down to his kids. Any American citizen who thinks socialism or Communism is a good idea, needs to go live in a socialist or communist country for a few years and really get the feel for what it's all about..... It SUCKS. It's all about GOVERNMENT; running everything, controlling everything and making all the decisions for people's lives. Some American citizens think it would be a great idea to kick back and let government take care of you. These would be mostly people who have nothing, so they figure they have nothing to lose. They believe attacking 'rich' people will somehow benefit them and make their lives better. This is exactly what the socialists want you to think. In America we have approximately 2,000 Billionaires, and literally Millions of millionaires. In America, great wealth can be achieved, if you are willing to work for it and in our free country and government won't take it away on a whim. What happens with socialism is all the money is confiscated and concentrated at the top amongst a small handful of politicians and oligarchs. In socialist countries, you will not see lots of millionaires and billionaires. All you will see are rich politicians, while everyone else is kept poor. Remember, not everyone can be equally rich, but it is very easy to make everyone equally poor and this is what socialism is all about. "Equality" THINK. If you love freedom, if you love the having the ability to make money and keep it for yourself, a socialist-style government would be very bad.
