Gig Workers Collective, a worker lead non-profit, is looking for app-based gig workers (i.e. Uber/Lyft/Doordash/Instacart/Shipt) in Dallas to participate in interview Dallas July 12 & 13 We are teaming up with another organization to research the issues in the gig economy. Interviews will be conducted in person near downtown Dallas (location near Greenville/Northwest HWY. Expenses for travel and time will be covered - Total of $45 Visa Cards will be given to participants. Requirements: You need to have done gig work for longer than 60 days on any app. You can be active or inactive, even deactivated. If inactive, your last order/assignment needs to be completed within the last year. Time: We have several slots available to make it convenient. Interviews will last no longer than 1.5hrs (most will be concluded under 1hr). We are conducting 2 seperate interviews at the same time/location. Reason: Your input will help us better address conditions all gig workers face. Interview questions will cover reasons for joining apps, earnings, expenses, the jobs they are assigned, workplace safety, job security, how the pandemic has affected their work, experience claiming unemployment insurance or pandemic unemployment assistance, and how problems working for the apps have affected their daily lives and their family.
