HughesNet Satellite Installation Technician - W-2 employee, paid weekly, Company vehicle and gas card provided
Experience with satellite dish installation or cable is preferred, but not required.
HughesNet service orders consist of installing/repairing HughesNet internet satellite systems at customer locations (primarily residential). You will have to climb ladders, use a drill, run cable, dig holes for poles, pour concrete, and perform all sorts of other physical tasks.
A reliable vehicle is required during the training process, as a company vehicle is not provided until after training is completed.
Scheduling is typically 5 days a week, with 2 consecutive days off.
Some of the tools you will need at a minimum:
- A ladder capable of reaching 25'
- Common hand tools for assembling and pointing the dish (wrenches, ratchet, screwdrivers, allen wrenches, wire cutters, etc..)
- Cordless drill (21V or higher) for installing the mount and running the cable
- Digging tools for installing a pole in the ground when necessary instead of roof/wall mount
- Iphone or Android smartphone/tablet for running the HughesNet program Oasis used for work orders
- Cell phone
- Internet access for checking email and work orders
A more detailed tool list is available upon request. Don't let a lack of tools prevent you from applying. Tools are easily acquired, but high quality, motivated people are much more difficult to come by.
ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENTS:
- You must be able to pass a background check as you will be entering customers' homes and businesses
- You must have a current driver's license and auto insurance
