Thank you for your interest. The following is the project synopsis. We are searching for/identifying Concrete Subcontractors to perform highway shoulder/mow strip construction for a 3-county (Van Zandt, Smith Gregg) TxDOT project, in Feb/2021 letting along Highway 20. The project no. is STP 2021(170) HES and control # 0495-03-065, Etc. If interested, the following summarizes the qualifications required of you: 1. Familiar with TxDOT plans and specs (from TxDOT web site) relevant to the construction of highway concrete shoulder/mow strip, including but not limited to saw cutting, location site preparation (including some embarkments), formwork, concrete pouring (including precast curb placement and donut ring concrete pouring at each guardrail post location) and finishing. 2. Ready to mobilize and start working Immediately or ASAP. 3. Self-sufficient in your owned equipment and man power to complete the work listed in Item #1 above. 4. Concrete mixed with fiber will be provided and delivered to job locations. 5. Additional dirt, if necessary, is provided but needs to be hauled from the stockpile to the job locations by the subcontractor. 6. Ideally, three crews are needed per night. Each crew is capable of completing two locations (saw-cutting, site prep and pouring) in one night. Each location is about 200 to 250 feet long (average), 4’-0” wide (+- average) and 4” thick (minimum). 7. It is crucial for the concrete crews to perform/deliver consistently and in sync with guardrail installation and traffic control subcontractors’ work schedule. 8. Reasonably knowledgeable about TxDOT traffic control rules and methodology. 9. Provide quote for all EB and WB locations in Smith and Gregg County. 10. It is a night project. Sunday 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday to Thursday 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. It is approximately 7-hour working time period per night. We are working on Van Zandt County locations and soon will be ready to start Smith County. You may start agreed scope as soon as your quote gets approved. Please contact me if you have any questions.
