Join guide Lynne Falick for a nature therapy walk at Sumac Hill Farm. Join us for a unique opportunity to experience the joy and magic of Sumac Hill Farm’s open space. You will have the chance to explore this special place through a guided nature therapy walk. During the 2 hour session, which will cover less than 0.5 miles, Lynne Falick, a Certified Nature Forest Therapy Guide, will open the door for you to experience nature through a series of sensory based invitations designed to help you slow down and restore your relationship with nature. You will cultivate a deeper connection with this protected and preserved open space, with your community, and with yourself. We will move very slowly, in a peaceful meander. We will be together in the group for some of the time to stop and talk, and at other times, we will be walking on our own. Please bring a small folding stool or chair, mat, or sit pad, to sit on as the ground could be damp. Also, please bring any water or light snacks you may need for your comfort during the time we are together. We recommend checking the weather and dressing in layers according to the forecast. Lynne S. Falick, MA, OTR/L is a Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide and a Nature Based Occupational Therapist. She also holds a master's degree in Conservation Biology. With over 30 years of experience working with children, adults, and families in a variety of settings, she knows firsthand the important role nature plays in human mental and physical well-being. Lynne is familiar with the latest research demonstrating the health benefits of spending time in nature and knows there is a great need to slow people down, get them outdoors, and help them re-connect to nature. Lynne lives in Centennial, Colorado and enjoys spending time wandering outdoors, hiking, visiting hot springs and taking road trips with her husband, teenage daughter, and Frank and Sunny, the dogs.
