Description

Celebrate the continued Indigenous presence on the Connecticut River. Join the Nolumbeka Project and the Connecticut River Conservancy for a paddle in observance of the 8th Annual Pocumtuck Homeland Festival: A Celebration of Native American Art, Music, and Cultures. Jonathan Perry and members of the Wampanaug Aquinnah will be back for a second year to paddle the traditional dug-out mishoon, crafted as part of the festival in 2019 and launched in 2020. The celebratory procession will follow the Connecticut River from Millers Falls to Gill, MA. Bring your own boat, lunch/snacks and we'll paddle, eat, drift and chat together on the river! Rain or shine. Thunderstorms cancel. Shuttle available for first 20 paddlers. Register for details.
