Budding Naturalists is a program for teens in grades 9 - 12 Our programs for high school students offer an opportunity for local youth to explore environmental issues and engage in backyard projects that benefit the environment and the community. Students can take their smaller creations home or give them to others in their neighborhood. Larger projects add permanent enhancements to the grounds at Goodell Gardens. Parents and guardians may choose to drop off their teenagers or stay for this program. Dates: one session every other weekend from May 9 – July 18 Time: 4:30 – 5:30 Session 1: Habitat Loss – Sunday, May 9, 2021 – this session has been cancelled Session 2: Pollution – Sunday, May 23, 2021 Session 3: Climate Change – Sunday, June 6, 2021 Session 4: Invasive Species – Saturday, June 19, 2021 Session 5: Biodiversity Loss – Sunday, July 4, 2021 Session 6: Waste – Sunday, July 18, 2021 Registration is required, and COVID-19 safety measures will be followed. Registration is free for members of Goodell Gardens & Homestead (click here to learn how to join), or $5 per session for folks who aren’t yet members. ** Please note: siblings are welcome to join, but must be registered separately. One adult registration is included with each Budding Naturalists Registration. Goodell Gardens & Homestead is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization located in Edinboro, Pennsylvania.
