Established Celtic Rock band seeks drummer!!

Ockham’s Razor is a Seattle based band that blends influences of Celtic tradition with rock, pop, gypsy, punk, jazz, bluegrass, and folk elements to carve out a unique and indelible niche in the Celtic folk genre. Since 2006, Ockham’s Razor has performed extensively throughout the PNW and beyond, and has seen airplay worldwide. Our latest album, “Secrets & Silence” is scheduled for release on July 12, 2021. Meanwhile our drummer is relocating to Arizona for personal reasons. As a result, we are seeking a drummer who has a strong sense of timing, thinks beyond basic 4:4, can rock out when appropriate but also knows how to sit in with multiple acoustic instruments. As we begin presenting our latest album live we are introducing sequences, lights, video and other elements therefore it is essential our drummer can play to a click. We currently have a catalog of approximately 60 original and traditional songs. Shows vary from single one hour sets to 3-4 hour multi sets. Weekly weekend rehearsals take place in a dedicated space in Renton. We typically book shows on the weekend, and often play out of town, so must be willing to travel. Having a stage presence is also required as well as a willingness to dress for the occasion during performances (no ball caps and t-shirts), potentially including theatrical costumes. This is a paid position, meaning each member is entitled to their cut of performance money, equally split between members. While age/orientation/gender/race is unimportant to us, be young-at-heart, hungry, LOVE blending and mixing musical styles, and not be a mercenary.
