Elmo is a great companion dog for the elderly but he doesn't tolerate small children very well. He has a long haired coat and requires routine grooming including weekly brushing at the minimum. Elmo has been groomed for the summer with a short coat but it will grow out by the time winter comes. As with any senior dog, he is due for a vet check-up and updated shots.
