#CamIsBerkleeBound LIVE Concert Join us as we celebrate and send off teenage musician, Cameron Burton to Berklee College of Music! Percussionist, pianist, organ player, and more... He is a well-rounded musician known for his ability to play multiple instruments and produce consistent quality sound across all genres of music. His inspiration for music was truly seeded at birth and watered at Blessed Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland. At just seven years old, Cameron shared his music in ministry at St. John Baptist Church in Painesville. By the age of 14, he was sharing his gifts with Greater Peace Baptist Church. And finally returning to his roots, he became a full-time percussionist, organist and pianist for Blessed Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He has held this position for the past five years. Now, at 18 years of age, we reflect on other blessings Cameron has been favored to have. He has been a part of the Tri-C Jazzfest since age 12 under the leadership of strong musicians he likes to call Mentor, including International Trumpeter Dominick Farinacci as well as, Theron Brown, Anthony Taddeo, Chris Coles, Johnny Cochran and a host of others. Traveling to Boston to take residence there for 5 weeks in the summer of 2019 for Berklee College of Music's Summer Immersion Program has proven to be one of Cameron's most pivotal moments of his music career. This concentrated engagement provided him with an opportunity of a lifetime! At Berklee that summer, he learned from and with students just like him, who believe 'music is life'. He was honored for his work there by receiving one of the few full scholarships to attend the school's summer program the following year. Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, he was unable to take that opportunity and many others like traveling and raising funds for college. Cameron has performed throughout the country traveling to share his gift with others and has received countless opportunities to develop longstanding relationships with other talented musicians with whom he has had the pleasure of sharing the stage, including Terence Blanchard, John Clayton, Patrick Bartley and more. A few weeks before graduating Mayfield High School, Cameron was fully accepted and will be attending the prestigious institute of Berklee College of Music this Fall 2021. As funding is very limited this year for this school, Cameron needs to raise money in order to attend and experience this once in a lifetime opportunity. On July 16th, 2021 at 6:00 pm, local musicians, artists, vocalists, and more will grace the stage of "FrontStage Complex" to deliver a concert like no other. In partnership with Jayeal Music and HD Productions, world-renowned musicians will share the stage and provide a long-awaited musical experience in Cleveland since the Pandemic began. This event will be both in-person and livestreamed to provide a quality experience for those local or across the country.
