First Thursday Happy Hour - August 5Performance by Bryan Russo, free yoga class, food trucks, and beverages on the west side of Symphony WoodsThursday nights in Downtown Columbia have never been better. Join the Inner Arbor Trust on the west side of Symphony Woods for a relaxing outdoor evening with a free performance by Bryan Russo. Join instructors from Columbia Association for a free yoga class at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy socially distanced seating at picnic tables or on the lawn, food for purchase, as well as beer, wine, and sodas. First Thursday happy hours in the Park will continue through the summer. Free yoga class at 5:30 p.m.Relax away your cares with a free yoga class on the Chrysalis at 5:30 p.m. by Columbia Association instructors. Wander across the woods and melt your stress away, then return, rejuvenated, to enjoy the music. Happy hour + yoga? Nothing could be better. Parking / What to Expect OnsiteParkingParking will be adjacent to the west side of the woods in Lot 1. For GPS purposes, please use the address 10477 Little Patuxent Pkwy, Columbia, MD 21044. To get to Lot 1, go to the intersection of Little Patuxent Parkway and Merriweather Drive. Lot 1 is the curvilinear triangular shaped lot to the left if you are facing away from the mall, all surface parking. Social Distancing / Masking Out of respect for our guests too young to be vaccinated, all guests over 2 years must wear a mask on-site while in lines to enter or for concessions or restrooms, and when distancing is not possible. At all other times we ask that individuals who are not vaccinated maintain a 6 foot distance away from anyone not in your household or "pod" or to wear a mask. We expect this guidance to change over time. DogsDogs welcome at this event (we wish we could bring them to Chrysalis events). Dogs must be on 6 foot or shorter retractable leashes. Please pick up any dog waste. We reserve the right to ask both humans and dogs to respect all guests and be mindful of others enjoying the performance. SeatingThere are picnic tables - please be mindful and share if others are waiting. You may bring a blanket or a standard sized lawn chair with no canopy. RestroomsPortapotties with hand sanitizing stations by the Chrysalis. We are sorry that the shared park/pavilion restrooms are not yet ready and anticipate betterfacilities soon. The Trust is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit entity in the process of developing over 50 acres in Downtown Columbia, Maryland into an iconic arts and culture park, Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods. The Trust was created by the Columbia Association, Inc. to develop and manage the Park in connection with significant redevelopment in Downtown Columbia, Maryland. The Trust seeks to provide to the region an iconic arts and culture park, and everyday recreational opportunities, while preserving green-space at the center of Columbia’s Downtown development.
