Program Description:
This 8-week series is based on the work of Dr. James Gordon, the founder of the Center for Mind-Body Medicine. Dr. Gordon is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist and professor at Georgetown University who is widely known for using self-awareness, self-care, and group support for healing.
During this online mind body skills group, you will learn strategies of self-care, which is the heart of health care, and techniques that have been researched to enhance well-being and resilience from the comfort of your own home. These weekly two-hour sessions are both educational and experiential. The group offers a unique opportunity to share & positively impact others in a supportive, educational learning environment.
Key concepts including mind-body medicine, autogenics, biofeedback, meditation, guided imagery, mindful eating, nutrition, and more will be explored.
