Press release from the Levittown Public Schools: July 02, 2021 To be selected, a student must be nominated by their high school and meet RPI's specific criteria. This includes being a junior who is ranked within the top 10% of their class, be a student who excels in advanced math and science courses, demonstrates the potential for success in a challenging academic setting and demonstrates significant involvement in extracurricular activities. Powers is currently enrolled in four advanced placement courses which include AP Capstone Research, AP Language and Composition, AP Physics and AP U.S. History and Government. Furthermore, he continues to challenge himself in College Pre-Calculus Honors and Science Research II. Aside from his challenging academic courses, Powers is heavily involved at Division Avenue High School and in the Levittown community. He is a member of? both the national and math honor societies, Science Olympiad team, varsity baseball team, weight training club and serves as secretary on the student council. In addition, Powers volunteers and is an umpire with Levittown West Little League. The Levittown Public Schools congratulates him on this outstanding achievement. ?
