Description
GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department will be visible during the Fourth of July weekend, and they're urging residents to celebrate safely and responsibly.
"As usual we'll have extra people on the road and on the water, weather permitting. We're telling people please don't shoot off fireworks or anything like that. The only legal thing people can have fireworks wise is sparklers. Even that, people under 16 shouldn't be having them; they should be having adult supervision," said Capt. Mark Zuccerella. "If we come to a complaint regarding fireworks, if caught, we will enforce the law. We have fireworks shows this weekend for people to enjoy. Don't drink and drive and have a safe, happy holiday."
There will be a fireworks display at Greenwich Point at 9 p.m. on July 5. The show for July 3 was canceled due to the forecast of rain. For more information, click here.
