JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — Many counties in Colorado, including Jefferson County, have launched state-of-the-art notification systems to warn residents of emergencies.
The CodeRED system is designed to send alerts about floods, fires, chemical spills, dangerous suspects, evacuations, disasters and other emergencies.
While many counties use the CodeRED emergency notification system, some governments use a different system, such as Arapahoe County's ArapAlert.
