The North Texas chapter of the Information Systems Security Association is one of the largest and most active association of cybersecurity and infosec professionals in the region. Panel Topic: Compliance - Only One Piece of the Security PieIn this panel discussion, moderated by Nancy Free, Chief Compliance and Data Privacy Officer at Armor, experts will discuss how there's more to security than compliance. Panelists: Mike Annand, Director, Customer Compliance, ArmorMike Annand serves as the Director of Customer Compliance at Armor. Mike has over 20 years of IT Operations and compliance related experience. He is a trusted advisor to Armor prospects and customers on PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO-27001 and SOC. Mike has spent time Implementing security controls in the retail, banking and energy sectors, as well as several years as a security assessor and practice manager. Dave Belanger, Chief Information Security Officer, Maxor National Pharmacy ServicesDave Belanger has over 20 years of experience in Security and Technology leadership roles. Dave is the Chief Information Security Officer for Maxor National Pharmacy Services. In his prior role he served as Information Security Officer for a technology company operating in the corrections and public safety industry. He was also the Data Center Manager for a large telecom company, providing operational and physical security for nearly a decade. In these roles, Dave has been responsible for ensuring continued compliance and certification with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, FISMA, FedRAMP, CJIS, SOX, SOC, SSAE, CMMC and other regulations or standards. Since January 2020 he has been on the Board of Directors for the North Texas chapter of ISSA serving as Treasurer. Dave is actively engaged in the DFW Cybersecurity community as a volunteer, mentor and speaker for events such as FutureCon, Data Connectors, Elevate, CISOXC and later this year at the NTX ISSA Cyber Security Conference 9. Panel Moderator: Nancy Free, Chief Compliance and Data Privacy Officer, ArmorNancy Free, CIPM, CDPSE, is a transformative and forward-thinking IT leader specializing in governance and security, data privacy, enterprise risk, compliance, and audit. Nancy is currently the Chief Compliance and Data Privacy Officer for Armor and serves on the North Texas ISSA Board as the Director of Women in Security.
