YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, CA — The body of a Golden State professor was found in Yosemite National Park last week. Officials were asking anyone who may have information about the incident to contact them.
James Youngblom, 64, was found in LeConte Falls on June 25 after he was hiking alone, the National Park Service said in a statement. Officials said he had hiked from White Wolf, up the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne to the Glen Aulin Trailhead.
Officials have not disclosed a cause of death.
Youngblom taught biological sciences at California State University Stanislaus for 31 years, the Associated Press reported.
Anyone who may have seen him was asked to call or text the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch at 888-653-0009.
