For Our Kids: A Conversation about Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion strictly within the Waunakee Area School District. Are you a parent of a child in the Waunakee Community School District? Are you a WCSD school board member? Are you an educator or other staff within our school district? Then we invite you to have an INFORMAL conversation with fellow community members and neighbors about Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) and what that means and looks like in our school district. Parents: Come share your questions and concerns around this sometimes misunderstood topic. Share your experiences and listen to those of others within our community. Schoolboard Members: We'd love to have you join us to help us all start to get an idea of anything you'd like to share regarding DEI initiatives within the district. K-12 Educators & Staff: We'd love for you to share what DEI looks like in your classrooms. This discussion will be moderated by former Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney.
