POSITION SUMMARY: We are a local commercial maintenance contractor serving many sites around the King County and surrounding area, in search of a dedicated Field Supervisor for our Landscape Division. This position is responsible for overseeing field operations of our Landscape Division, including maintaining work quality of all landscaping accounts, training new employees, covering accounts due to absenteeism, and other such functions so that the needs of the Customer and the Company are mutually attained. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage and control all landscaping personnel. - Maintain daily inventory of all equipment at the beginning of the day and after the crews return, managing a check in/out system for all equipment. - Maintain required knowledge of all accounts (frequency schedules, special account information, locations, etc.). - Responsible for supervision of employees on assigned accounts to ensure the highest level of quality is maintained. - Maintain proper scheduling and personnel practices in order to stay within budgeted parameters. - Interview, evaluate, train, and develop new staff, and follow-up with employees to ensure they are completing assigned jobs correctly and efficiently. - Ensure all new crew members are trained in proper use of equipment and safety procedures. - Communicate with staff on a regular basis (daily) to help maintain employee morale and job satisfaction. - Conduct weekly safety meetings to communicate with all staff, relaying any concerns or specific problems with employees to ensure all company standards are being met. - Maintain accountability with regard to account budgets and staff work hours. - Maintain a current Washington pesticide license at all times or ability to obtain within 6 months. - Maintain current knowledge of herbicides, fertilizers, and chemicals. - Responsible for maintaining all equipment, trucks, vans, and trailers in safe and proper operating condition at all times. - Document inappropriate behavior of crew members as described in the Company Handbook. QUALITY CONTROL: Ensure high quality work at all account locations, but not limited to: - Conduct consistent quality control inspections and PR calls to customers on a weekly basis to help eliminate complaints and retain accounts. - Work in the field to inspect accounts, develop staff, and see personnel to maintain consistent, high quality. - Present self to customers (on site) in pleasant, professional manner. REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: - Valid driver's license, with clean driving record required. - Bi-lingual Spanish preferred. - At least three (3) years Landscape experience required, with at least one (1) year management experience preferred. - Irrigation experience & current pesticide license preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Strong communication skills required. We are a Drug-Free facility, requiring a drug screening & background check prior to hiring. To keep our employees safe, we have all our staff wearing face coverings, have equipped all vehicles with hand sanitizer, and check in on health status daily to ensure the safety of our crews.
