Kate Brown followed the science, and made timely and decisive moves in Oregon's pandemic response. As a result, Oregon was not a hard hit state, in terms of total infections and deaths. Our hospitals got strained from the number of serious COVID-19 cases, but they did not get battered by cases, as did some states. Her cause was helped by Oregon's citizenry being generally responsible, in terms of infection prevention. Now Oregon is significantly vaccinated, and back open. Thanks Kate.
