Experienced drummer ISO a creative, challenging, inspiring and fun band setup. Preferably to create originals, not so much to play covers. Played in several bands over the last 15 years and also did my fair share of local gigs. I'd prefer joining a band, but am also open to form a new group. The genre really is less important to me; I consume pretty much everything from classical music to hip hop to death metal to jazz. When it comes to playing drums, I'm naturally drawn to anything rock, funk, soul, fusion, or jazz, but what's more important to me is having similar skill levels, being open-minded, and being serious about the music while not taking ourselves too seriously. I would consider myself a quick learner and am always interested in exploring new musical avenues as well. That said, this time around I'm not so much looking for classic rock, indie, or chasing a particular sound (80s/90s/etc.). I love odd time signatures and to play just for the fun of it. I'm in my 30s and have a day job, so meeting weekly or bi-weekly would be ideal. Occasional gigs would be great but are no must, as I also play drums in another band where we're doing regular gigs in the area. I'm fully vaccinated and also motorized but would prefer meeting in, or close to the District. Drop me a message if that sounds interesting to you.
