i've actually petitioned Christ to strike me down several times but He will not heed my prayers. i've also asked Him to lovingly teach lessons to those who have hurt me but this seems to only get me more entropic pain and meaninglessness in the end. right now i'm on a little existentialism kick; the myth of sisyphus has unironically been really helpful for me. what do you suggest for someone interested in the esoteric side of christianity (with all of its aesthetic and ritualistic appeal) but seemingly unable to connect with Christ successfully? love the concept but can't seem to make it work for me in a practical way. thanks.
