Accompaniment?

I'm a singer-songwriter that plays out rarely these days but still enjoys getting together with others to "jam" and have fun. In addition to my own stuff, I like John Prine, Harry Chapin, Springsteen, Buffett, and the other usual suspects. Wondering if any string players (violin, viola, cello, mandolin, etc.) or woodwinds would like to try and make music? My wife played clarinet, but says those days are behind her. She got frustrated - always needing sheet music - and I'm hoping to find someone who can improvise and just play along. I feel compelled to say that I am not "creepy," but just a normal "dad guy" looking to add some flavor to what I do.
