Description
i would like to hire an experienced Mechanic to help me get my 1991 Dodge van started on Monday the 5th of July.
Ill pay $125 for 5 hours, or $125 as soon as she's running!
I drove it a long way from home, no problems other than hesitation at higher speeds, and dying at cold start unless i held the gas to keep it idling till it warmed up.
Parked it overnight, then it wouldn't start at all the next day.
Sprayed starting fluid, and not a single sign of ignition, replaced the coil and the ignition-pickup/hall-effect-sensor under the distributor cap, still not a sign of ignition. I was shocked strongly by the coil, but for some reason the cylinders aren't firing.
Next focus is the camshaft sensor.
is it possible it's a fuel issue? i don't think so because the starting fluid didn't help in the least...
