We are looking for a Yard Attendant/Service Tech that has the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organizational and communication skills to service our clientele efficiently. A candidate that is bi-lingual in Spanish would be considered an advantage. The primary responsibility of the Yard Attendant is fill propane cylinders for walk-in retail customers as well as the company’s farm stock of exchange cylinders. Service Tech repairs patio heaters both on and off site. Other duties as needed and assigned. Position Summary Under limited supervision, performs wide variety of tasks related to the retail sales of propane and yard duties. Minimum Requirements Previous customer service experience preferred Positive attitude Excellent verbal communication Professional and clean appearance Able to communicate effectively with customers An ability to function well as part of a team Able to work with minimum supervision High School diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License Essential Duties and Responsibilities Loading/unloading of cylinders for customers and delivery drivers. Inspection of cylinders to determine if they are in date. Testing equipment to make sure it works properly Ability to operate forklift. Answer customer’s questions concerning products and use. Accept payment and make change. Possess basic math skills and can operate a calculator and cash register Refill of propane cylinders. Recertification of cylinders. General yard & shop cleaning and maintenance. Occasional driving for pickup and delivery. Repair of patio heaters Physical Demands and/or Work Environment Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment Frequent use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal/s on equipment and trucks Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
