Come join Scarborough Community Services and Martin's Point HealthCare for this FREE fitness series! Generation POUND® was created not just as a workout geared towards kids, but a MOVEMENT that aims to change the concept of health and fitness for today’s youth. Get ready to make fitness about self-expression, empowerment, self-love and FUN! How? By introducing alternative ways to, MOVE, ROCK, PLAY and MAKE NOISE! Instructor: Kristi O’Donnell. Event sponsored by Martin’s Point Health Care. Instructor Kristi O'Donnell has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, is a ACE certified personal trainer and certified POUND professional, has 10 years experience in the Heath and Fitness industry, as well as experience in competing and placing in figure competitions nationally. PLEASE NOTE: This class is for kids only, ages 5 and up. Items you may want to bring: Yoga mat, water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and bug repellent. Ripsticks will be provided by instructor. Please Note: There will be 20 sets of sanitized Ripstix available to borrow. They will distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at this event. You are still able to participate in the program without these sticks, or if you are more comfortable, you may bring utensils (spatulas, spoons, rulers, etc.) to use in place of Ripstix. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY Release, Assumption of Risk, and Emergency Medical Consent Form By purchasing this ticket/tickets, I understand that participation in a Town of Scarborough program, activity and/or special event can involve the risk of damage, illness (including communicable diseases such as MRSA, influenza and COVID-19), and injury, including permanent disability and death, to both people and property, and while particular rules, equipment and personal discipline may reduce these risks, the risks do exist. I hereby give permission for my son/daughter/spouse/significant other, or myself to participate in any Community Services program/s as well as any activities for which we register. We fully understand that the Town of Scarborough, its agents, officers, employees and subcontractors, accept no responsibility and will not be liable for any injury, harm, or damage to his/her/my person or property occurring during or arising out of participation in any program/s. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I do hereby agree to assume all risk of injury, harm, or damage to his/her/my person or property arising during or in connection with said program/s, including but not limited to transportation to or from said program/s, and I do hereby release the Town of Scarborough and Martin's Point HealthCare, its agents, officers, or employees, for injury, harm, or damage to his/her/my person or property that may arise or occur during or in connection with said program/s. Furthermore, I give permission for emergency medical treatment to be given to our child/ren or ourselves in case we or our emergency contacts cannot be reached by telephone. I also give permission to Scarborough Community Services to photograph or film myself or my child/ren for the use of promotional materials that may or may not be aired on SCTV or used in other correspondence, such as brochures, flyers, or any other purpose deemed appropriate by Community Services. This agreement shall be in effect as long as we participate in Community Services events/programs. Scarborough Community Services aims to enhance the quality of life for all residents by promoting a community centered environment through properly maintained public spaces and engaging recreational opportunities.
