Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform general repairs on facility and equipment including plumbing, carpentry,
painting, mechanical and electrical.
• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
• Experience in a specific trade, general construction or facilities maintenance.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Although not required, a Bachelor’s Degree, Associates Degree or a related degree
from a technical college would be beneficial.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Experience with basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to read equipment manuals and related documents.
• Experience performing routine maintenance.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
• Strong time management skills.
• Any training/apprenticeships or applicable certifications will be considered.
Physical Requirements/Demands:
• Ability to push/lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching a job may require.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
• Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection.
• Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids and paints.
