Lead Carpenter Job description Marvel Homes is a high-end full service residential remodeling company who treats their employees well. We are seeking a seasoned lead carpenter strong work ethic in the Montgomery County, Northern VA and DC area. Compensation $25-$32 per hour This position requires someone who: • Has a positive mental attitude and can do attitude • Has 5 years of remodeling and carpentry experience • Is honest, dependable, articulate, and self-motivated • Enjoys challenging projects • Has the ability to manage multiple tasks • Pays attention to detail • Delivers top quality work • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Is excited about the remodeling industry and has a passion for delivering excellence. Position duties will include but not limited to: • Responsible for ensuring conformance of the work with project plans and understanding for managing scopes of work • Ensure overall project quality control for every aspect of the project • Subcontractor and supplier coordination • All aspects of project site safety. • Develop project schedule and update on a regular basis with realistic timetable for future work items • Plan for and organize project staff according to project requirements, including assigning proper personnel to specific projects or components of projects • Ensure and communicate clear roles and responsibilities to entire project team • Have the technical skill top professionally complete items such as; kitchen cabinet install, trim, door installation, window installation, and rough framing • Manage material flow to the job, manage the schedule to finish on time, and manage the budget to make a net profit for the company. • Work directly with the client to facilitate a smooth job including change orders, minor selections, and the disruption to everyday life.
