Foxxes / Black Cell Lost Lake Presents 21+ Foxxes Lost Lake Presents Foxxes and Black Cell on Thursday, July 15 -- Foxxes Facebook Foxxes burst onto the Denver music scene in 2015. After releasing a couple stand alone singles, they started playing shows all over Denver as they continued to nail down their sound. After getting a handful of shows under their belt, they formed a unique sound unto themselves. They borrowed hints from post-punk giants Interpol and indie gurus Wolf Parade. After topping it off with a dash of psych-rock and a pinch of post-rock, they released their self-titled album in 2017 to favorable reviews. Following this release, they continued playing shows, opening for the likes of Geographer and Billy Changer. They had the opportunity to play various festivals around Colorado, including UMS serval times. Additionally, they received regular airplay on CPR’s Indie 102.3 and KTCL 93.3. Foxxes then took most of 2018 off to write new music. They returned in 2019 with their album Firestarter. The darker, fuller sound gave the band a cinematic quality that translated into attention-grabbing shows. A hiatus followed. Foxxes now returns this summer with new music and a sting desire to share it others. Black Cell Facebook | Bandcamp Blackcell are a two piece EBM, Industrial, Darkwave, Post-Industrial band from Denver, CO. The band formed in 1996 from a crew of spooky dark synth purveyors who met in the dark corners of the early Denver and Boulder underground scene. Many early influences on Blackcell range from Front 242, the Klinik, and Coil to early Post-punk. Their unique brand of live performance fuses dark hardware based synths and heavy bass and lead lines with a mess of wires and unexpected bursts of improvisation that will make you want to wonder what they are up to.
