Enjoy a private tour of the historic Homestead. Discover local history while exploring local artifacts and Victorian era furnishings During this time of social distancing, we are very pleased to offer you an opportunity to tour the Mesier Homestead privately. Our Signature Experience tours allow you to focus on items and topics that are of interest to you. You will able to converse with the guide, ask questions, take your time looking at the exhibits. For example, depending on your group's interest, we can focus on Victorian lifestyle, textiles, Presidential connections to the Wappinger area, or you can request the youth tour designed to engage and interact with young people, helping them to discover what life was like in times long ago. Simply put, our Signature Experience tour allows you to customize your visit with us, taking the time to explore what is of interest to you. To reserve a tour, please complete the RSVP registration form found here https://www.wappingershistoricalsociety.org/events/signature-experience-private-tours-of-the-mesier-homestead-you-choose-the-date-you-would-like-to-visit with your preferred days and times and we will get in touch with you to confirm. We ask that reservations be made at least 48 hours in advance. Only confirmed reservations will be honored. Unfortunately, we cannot accomodate walk-ins at this time. Tour price is $10 per adult,$7 for seniors, $5 for youth age 7-18. Under 7 is free, as are WHS members. Please allow for 1 1/2 for a complete tour. The Wappingers Historical Society is the custodian of the Mesier Homestead and Museum. Our mission is to preserve and share the history of the Town of Wappinger, Village of Wappingers Falls and the surrounding communities.
