46-hour Peer Recovery Support Specialist training. People in recovery learn skills to become a peer recovery support specialist in Nevada. 46-hour Peer Recovery Support Specialist training. This course will give you the foundational knowledge to start providing peer recovery support and is the first step towards obtaining state certification and the title of Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist. The training covers the core competencies of peer recovery support specialists in four domains, including advocacy, mentoring and education, recovery and wellness support, and ethical responsibility. We’re hosting this in-person training at our Southern Nevada Recovery Community Center located in Las Vegas. This class is a full week, hosted Monday-Friday from 8:30 – 5:00. This class is being offered at no-cost to Nevada’s recovery community. A $5 deposit (plus fees) is required to hold your seat which will be refunded to you at the end of the class. All materials will be provided.
