A fun-filled evening: Spur 327 Band, BBQ, beer and wine tastings, silent and live auctions, and dancing under the West Texas sky. The Lubbock Monterey Chapter of AMBUCS, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is excited to announce their SummerFest 2021 Fundraising Event. This is our major fundraiser serving the Lubbock community and the South Plains area. Previous attendees believe this event should not be missed. BBQ brisket, sausage with all the fixings from Teddy Jack's, beer and wine tastings, silent and live auctions, listening to SPUR 327 Band, and dancing under the beautiful West Texas sky. All for a great cause of raising funds for AMTRYKES and SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THERAPISTS. AMTRYKES are therapeutic trykes, specifically adapted to the individual's needs, allowing those with physical and/or mental disabilities to improve their coordination, muscle strengthening, and socialization skills. Recipients can enjoy riding their AMTRYKE with their family and friends. Those who qualify for an AMTRYKE will receive it at no cost. Our AMBUCS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THERAPISTS is another successful program benefitting students in the field of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Audiology at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center--Health Professionals. We are proud to support these students who are our future therapists, and they are so appreciative of the scholarships they receive from us. Please view their video "Thank you to AMBUCS". Each year we GIVE AWAY up to 30 AMTRYKES and approximately $30,000.00 in scholarships to therapy students. Through our sponsors, a grant from The Community Foundation of West Texas, and your generosity of giving, we are able to reach out in the Lubbock community and the South Plains area to meet so many worthy needs with our AMTRYKES and SCHOLARSHIPS.
