Marcon Metalfab (www.marconmetalfab.com) is hiring a Shipper/Receiver Helper to join our growing and dynamic team, based out of Ferndale. The shift for this position is Mondays through Fridays (7:30am to 4:00pm). Responsibilities: -Assist with loading and unloading trucks. -Wrap skids. -Tagging and maintaining merchandise. -Monitoring and counting stock and hardware. -Sorting and stacking goods into specific zones. -Accurate physical and electronic receiving of material. -Taking instructions from the Shipper/Receiver. -Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, where safety is of the highest importance. Requirements: -Ability to use a pallet jack and independently lift 50 – 100 lbs. -Comfort in using a computer, answering emails via Outlook. -Solid math skills. -Clear communication, written and spoken English. -Ability to work on your feet all day. -Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and prioritizing. -Ability to work independently and in conjunction with other team members. -Forklift experience is an asset. -Steel industry or warehouse experience an asset. -Shipping/receiving experience an asset.
