School of Rock Pearland will be our opening act followed by Jack Barksdale. We are collecting items for the Houston Food Bank. Pearland House Concerts is excited to announce something a little different for our July show! We have the School of Rock Pearland "house band" as our opening act beginning at 5:00PM, we will serve food at 6:00PM and then have Jack Barksdale perform at 7:00PM. Our shows are outside, casual, intimate shows. Dinner, dessert, water and tea are included in your ticket price and guests are welcome to BYOB. Parking is available in the parking lot of the business on the corner or behind our back fence as long as it isn't muddy. No parking on the street is allowed. Please note this is a Sunday show! About Jack Barksdale Jack Barksdale has been called a “musical phenomenon” (Buddy Magazine) a “Texas force" (Paper City Magazine) “a singer-songwriter well beyond his years” (Baton Rouge Advocate) an "old soul” (Fort Worth Weekly) and “amazing to watch” (DFW.com). Texas Homegrown Radio said, “He might just be Townes Van Zandt reincarnated.” Jack Barksdale is a 13-year-old singer/songwriter from Texas. Inspired by folk, rock, and blues legends, Jack started performing original music at the age of nine and has already shared the stage with Wynonna Judd, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Bruce Robison, John Fullbright, and Hayes Carll. Jack tours nationally and wows audiences with lyrics wise beyond his years. Jack plays guitar, slide guitar, harmonica, mandolin, piano, and ukulele, but identifies first and foremost as a songwriter. Each event includes dinner and our outdoor covered venue has ample seating for an up close and sensational LIVE event. Events are BYOB. PHC exist to encourage a spirit of generosity that extends beyond altruism.  We do this by connecting the community with local causes through LIVE music concerts featuring talented bands and artists. Each event provides a unique artist and audience connection, and all the proceeds support local charities.
